It's still hot in the evening, and there's a line at Uozo in Monzen-Nakacho even at dusk. However, the turnover is fast, so you can get in with 7 or 8 people in no time. Just admiring the impressive noren curtain and sliding door will quickly bring your turn.

Let's go beyond the noren curtain

The restaurant has four floors, and although I've never been there, the second floor and above are table seating for groups of multiple people, and the first floor has a double U-shaped structure stretching out to the left and right. The Morishita and Shinkoiwa branches are similar, and drinking at this counter is the real pleasure of Uozo.

Large bottle and boiled fish

As we entered, we were guided to the tip of the "U" shape on the left side. Yay! The place with the best view.

First, I started off with a large bottle of beer (620 yen) and boiled fish, which quickly replenished the fluids I had lost from the Super Dry.

Although the price is gradually increasing, boiled fish bones are still 80 yen. I replenish the salt I lost by boiling fish bones.

Bluefin tuna belly

Their signature dish is tuna sashimi. This amount of tuna belly is only 450 yen. It's probably cheaper than the supermarket in your neighborhood.

Tempura horse mackerel

Horse mackerel is a favorite among the common people! It can be eaten as sashimi, seared, fried, or even as tempura! (480 yen)

Grilled squid

Here is another favorite of the common people: squid! Squid sashimi, grilled squid, squid mentaiko, and tentacle tempura. I was tempted by all the options, but I ended up with the grilled tentacles! (350 yen) Even so, they're very generous!

Glass of sake

We finish off with a chilled Kinkame Koppu sake. If you come to Uosan, you'll want to drink sake even in the summer.

There's no need to stay too long at this popular restaurant. I think I'll pay the bill around here...
