Recently, people have suddenly started hearing about Motsuno. It is a rising star of a stew restaurant that suddenly opened last April in an industrial park in Aikawa-cho, Kanagawa Prefecture, in an area with no train station nearby.
This popular restaurant is run by a young female proprietress on her own and there is always a line, but if you go there without knowing anything about it, you will be hit with the disappointing counter punch of being sold out and not being able to eat.

The shop opens at 10:45. There are three ticket-based sessions, and you must take three tickets (blue, green, or pink) in a bag in front of the shop before it opens, and then come back when the time comes.
On weekends, the numbered tickets may run out before the restaurant opens. I remember that on my first visit, when I arrived, the numbered tickets were already gone, and I had to eat at Yoshinoya while holding back tears before heading home.
Three types of stew
There are three types: miso, soy sauce, and curry. You buy a meal ticket first and hand it to the hostess along with your numbered ticket.
A hearty set meal
There are several types of tamagoyaki (150 yen) and you can choose your favorite flavor. You can also choose one of the free pickles, and then you get miso soup, rice, and stew to complete your set meal. I saw the large portion of rice the person next to me was eating, and it was about the same amount as Obake-Q would eat.
By the way, I ordered the two-item set meal, which consisted of soy sauce stew and curry stew.
Braised in soy sauce
The offal is made only from pork intestines, cut into huge pieces that make you want to take a photo, and comes with a burdock root and a carrot. The garlic is effective and the meat is soft and has no odor, so it definitely goes well with rice rather than sake.
Curry stew
This curry also has the same ingredients as the other curry, including large pork intestines, burdock root, and carrots, but is a rich curry that is not too spicy and easy to eat. It also comes with fukujinzuke pickles, and the flavor will make you want to gobble down the rice.

The food is finished in no time! With its delicious taste and generous portions, it's easy to see why there's always a long line at Motsuno, an up-and-coming restaurant, even on rainy days.

I was impressed by how the operation was so well thought out that the young proprietress could run it all by herself.
Opening in April 2022, this restaurant is still a newcomer, having only been open for a year and a half. Like ramen shops, the stew set meal has customers lining up regardless of location, and the young proprietress has given me a glimpse into the future of stews! Thank you!
