In the early hours of Tuesday, March 5th, Wagamama, a long-time izakaya restaurant beloved by locals in front of Hoya Station in Nishitokyo City, was completely destroyed by fire. No injuries were reported, and fire authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
This store, which has a history of 32 years since its founding, was scheduled to close on Saturday, March 16th due to eviction. The neighboring Nebuta Chaya also closed at the end of February, and after the eviction, it seems that a supermarket and other facilities are planned to be built there.
We understand that the fire that occurred just before the store's closure has caused the loss of many memories and the store itself. We offer our heartfelt condolences.

There was a fire this morning in front of Hoya Station, but for years, the woman who had been saying, "Let's do our best as women!" turned out to be a selfish girl! It's a huge shock, considering we're only a short time away from eviction. Our house was fine. Our shop is closed, but we'll keep cleaning up and keep going until the very end. pic.twitter.com/6aiXYORyUA
