As a new Chibi Maruko-chan product, we have decided to release a Japanese sake in collaboration with Hatsukame Brewing Co., Ltd. (Fujieda City, Shizuoka Prefecture).
Chibi Maruko-chan and Hatsukame Brewery first collaborated in 2021. To commemorate the fact that Father's Day and Hiroshi's birthday coincided in the same year, they released collaboration items. These items, which had been in high demand since pre-orders began and were difficult to obtain, are now available again this year in a new look.
The fourth "Father Hiroshi Series" is available again this year in two varieties: "Junmai Daiginjo Father Hiroshi Vintage 2024" and "Junmai Ginjo Father Hiroshi Vintage 2024." "Junmai Daiginjo Father Hiroshi Vintage 2024" is produced in the traditional limited run of 223 bottles (Fujisan), each with a serial number.
To commemorate the release of the collaborative sake, we will be holding a launch and sales event for the Chibi Maruko-chan collaborative sake "Junmai Ginjo Chichi Hiroshi" and "Junmai Daiginjo Chichi Hiroshi" at S-Pulse Dream Plaza (located in Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture), which is home to "Chibi Maruko-chan Land," on Saturday, May 25, 2023. Please come along to the launch event in a place associated with "Chibi Maruko-chan."
This year's design is based on the theme of "lucky charms." Hiroshi pops out from a choshi sake cup, inspired by "Otoso," a New Year's drink to ward off evil spirits and pray for longevity. The design incorporates even more auspicious elements, including the traditional Mount Fuji, the first sunrise of the year, and a turtle designed by Momoko Sakura. Yamada Nishiki, known as the "king of sake rice," is luxuriously polished and brewed with careful handwork. The aroma reminiscent of tropical fruits and rich sweetness spread throughout your mouth.

Junmai Ginjo Chichi Hiroshi Vintage 2024
This year's Junmai Ginjo Chichi Hiroshi's label features "Hiroshi jumping around happily." He's probably in high spirits after drinking. The annual Shizuoka Prefecture symbols "Mount Fuji" and "first sunrise," as well as a turtle designed by Momoko Sakura, create a unique look for Hatsukame Brewery Co., Ltd. This sake is carefully hand-brewed using water, rice, and yeast from Shizuoka, the setting of the original novel. The refreshing aroma and gentle sweetness derived from the sake rice "Homarefuji" spread throughout your mouth.

About "Chibi Maruko-chan"
Chibi Maruko-chan is a heartwarming story set in Shimizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture (now Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture) that depicts the fun, entertaining, and sometimes heartbreaking daily life of Maruko (Sakura Momoko), the second daughter of the Sakura family who live there and a third-grader in elementary school, and her family and friends. About Hatsukame Brewery
Founded in 1636, this is Shizuoka's oldest sake brewery.
