Founded in 1958 (Showa 33), Merci, a long-established local Chinese restaurant serving cheap and delicious "Wasemeshi" (Waseda meals) that filled the stomachs of Waseda University students, suddenly closed down recently due to issues such as finding a successor.
Cup noodles supervised by Merci, a popular local Chinese restaurant that has captivated Waseda students for over half a century, have been on sale since May. Some Lawson stores still have them, so if you come across them, it's a must-buy!
