[Blog/Nikomi Mist] On your way back to Haneda, stop off at Torikatsu in Tachiaigawa to try the exquisite beef stew

The Keikyu Line is only used when going to and from Haneda Airport.

On the other hand, when I get on the Keikyu line back to Haneda, one thing inevitably comes to mind - Torikatsu's special stew.

The shop is located on Tachiaigawa River, where the Suzugamori execution grounds were once located. The "Namidabashi Bridge" on the east side of the station is said to have originated from the tearful farewells that took place between executed people and their families.

The place name "Tachiaigawa" seems to come from the fact that when criminals were sent off to the execution grounds, their relatives would stand across the river to see them off. Crossing the Tachiaigawa Bridge with this background in mind makes me feel a little sentimental.

Tachiaigawa "Torikatsu"

Torikatsu is a very popular bar located in Tachiaigawa.

Torikatsu, run by an elderly couple, is always bustling with customers.

The proprietress is mainly in charge of grilling, while the chef silently prepares the a la carte dishes and drinks. The teamwork between this couple is one of the restaurant's specialties.

hoppy

A delicious Hoppy made with Daiya Shochu, served in a Hoppy mug with a perfectly chilled exterior.

There is an ice machine behind the counter, and regulars can refill their own ice to reduce the burden on the bar. This kind of consideration is naturally integrated into the bar, and it is a beautiful sight to be seen in a good bar.

stew

Braised beef sirloin, with the sweetness and umami of the fat blending together.

The onions and radishes are simmered until they are gone, leaving only a gentle flavor. I find myself craving this one-of-a-kind stew on a regular basis!

Omasum sashimi

From the sashimi dishes that I always order, I chose the exquisite tripe sashimi served with garlicky vinegar and miso.

Half raw vegetables

A junky raw vegetable dish with an addictive combination of mayonnaise and special sauce.

Sometimes I want to recreate this at home, and if I use Aomori's yakiniku sauce "Stamina Gen no Sauce" instead of the special sauce, it turns out pretty similar.

Skirt steak

Stir-fried beef skirt steak is so delicious with just butter, salt and pepper.

It's soft and fluffy, and makes the drink go down much faster!

As always, every item was very satisfying, and I finished in a good mood as I sipped the Hoppy!

Usually only a married couple are in business, but this time there was a young male staff member there, which was a relief.

There may have been a farewell on the other side of Tear Bridge.

But this taste - I'll never let go. I'll come back again and again! I'll be back!
