Sendai Uminomori Aquarium, an aquarium that creates new connections between people and the ocean, and between people and water, will be holding a reconstruction support event, "Sake Night Aquarium with Fish as Snacks," after closing on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
Nine of Miyagi's most famous sake breweries will come together to enjoy the fantastic nighttime aquarium with a glass of their signature sake in hand in this special night event aimed at adults, adults only, and that can be enjoyed by adults.
"Sake Night at the Aquarium with Fish as a Snack" is an event that was launched in 2017 as part of a reconstruction support project following the Great East Japan Earthquake. This marks the 13th time it has been held, and it is Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium's signature premium night event.
Nine sake breweries representing Miyagi have gathered together, and you can enjoy Miyagi sake with fish at the aquarium after closing time, including not only the famous sake that each brewery is known for, but also their own special sake and secret sake that you can't usually taste.
You can enjoy a short trip to Miyagi's fine sake while being soothed by the creatures of the sea.
