Downtown Kokura in Kitakyushu
The first one is "Uozumi Liquor StoreIt's about a 10-minute train ride from Mojiko Station to Kokura Station, the busiest shopping district in Kitakyushu. Once you get off the train, you'll find strip theaters and bars that are open from daytime, and you can take a stroll around this deep area.

Among them:Mount Paektu" is a yakiniku bar, and according to a local liquor store owner, it is the top bar in Kokura, and has a long history.Open 24 hoursIt may be a key bar that helped propel Kokura to the status of a drinking town. Just imagining it is fun.

To Tanga Market
From there, I walked through the shopping arcade and arrived at the place that was hit by two major fires in 2022.Tanga market.

Prefabricated buildings have been erected on the site of the fire, and the market has been named Tanga Open-Air Market, marking a steady path towards recovery.

To the Red Cliffs Liquor Store
In one corner of the Tanga MarketAkakabe Liquor Storeis a corner bar that I have been longing to visit for many years. The large noren curtain that I have seen in photos is very impressive, and the color of nature green is so gentle on the eyes that it seems to improve your eyesight just by looking at it.

The game begins with bottled beer
The refrigerated display case is lined with beers from the four major beer companies, and my favorite Takara shochu highball is also available. I would like to go for a large bottle, but I also want to enjoy the delicious oden and sake that are being cooked at the counter, so I will stick to a medium bottle and see what happens.

Just looking at the retro posters of beer companies plastered all over the store makes you want to drink more of your bottled beer. These kinds of retro posters are quite difficult to create, and if you put up too many of them, it can look contrived and put a damper on the atmosphere, but the store's history doesn't make you feel that way at all. And you often make eye contact with Yujiro.

Enjoy oden and sake
I ordered some oden that was soaking nicely right in front of me and sipped it slowly at Inada Juzo, a sake brewery owned by Okina Sake Brewery in Fukuoka.
( ´ー`)。o○(It's the perfect corner bar.)

word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
I would like to try some Kitaya sake, but there's no need to linger at this kakuuchi bar. It was even better than I expected!
