[Blog/Nikomi Mist] Delicious doteyaki! Amagasaki's "Masamuneya" is a daytime drinking paradise

Kagaya, Tokiwa Shokudo, Wadaya, Ikomaken...

There are several well-established, well-known restaurants in Tokyo that are "unmistakable" branch stores. On the other hand, there is another restaurant in Osaka and Hyogo that has branch stores, and just seeing the name "Masamuneya" makes you want to go in.

Hanshin Amagasaki "Masamuneya"

A popular bar where you can drink during the day, with great prices and a great atmosphere, and is sure to satisfy.

Among them, the Amagasaki store is the most impeccable "Masamuneya," and even before opening at 12 o'clock, local regulars are streaming in one after another, even though the noren curtain hasn't even been put up yet.

I entered the restaurant timidly, but was able to get a seat right away.

Before you know it, the seats are filled, and by the time the noren curtain is raised, nearly half of the large L-shaped counter is filled; this is a restaurant loved by locals.

Bottled beer

While they stock a wide range of bottled beers, from small to large, they only have a medium-sized bottle of Asahi's "Jukusen." Since I still have a place I want to go to after this, I start off timidly with a medium-sized bottle!

The large and small bottles and draft beers are all Super Dry, and the whiskey is Nikka, and the fact that the word Asahi is written in large letters on the noren curtain makes it feel like an old-fashioned bar, which is great.

Doteyaki

Most people order their specialty doteyaki, saying, "Let's start with a piece of doteyaki." The tenderly stewed beef tendon is not too sweet, and has just the right seasoning to be enjoyed every day. I ordered two pieces, but I could easily eat four of these signature dishes.

Tentacle tempura

They said they couldn't serve sashimi until the fishmonger arrived, so I made do with some tentacle tempura. I was just hoping it would be a quick fix, but the crispy fried fish, the saltiness, and the thickness of the batter were perfect.

Grilled salted saury

The person next to me ordered it, and when I saw the chef skewering a large pacific saury, I couldn't help but order it too.

I didn't think we'd ever have a year with a huge supply of pacific saury again, but who would have thought a group of them would return to Japan! I'll definitely eat them more neatly than the guy next to me!

Japanese rice wine

Here too, we received room temperature Hakushika sake from Nishinomiya, which is also written on the noren curtain. It's bottled and feels like a good deal!

word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)

Oh no, oh no!

I feel like I could keep ordering more, so I'll stop now!

From doteyaki to oden, fried foods, grilled foods, and sashimi, Masamuneya is a place that drinkers will never tire of and would probably go to every day if it was in their hometown. It's sure to put you in a good mood!
