Gotanda "KANESHO No. 2
As you know, Gotanda's popular bargold general (shogi)The long-awaited second store in the "Mere Old Man" opened in April 2025 in the basement diagonally across the street.

The appearance of the restaurant, which is a combination of the main restaurant and Tong Mana, is of such a quality that it may have already been in business for decades, making it a must for Kanamasa lovers....ah, bar lovers. It is as you would expect!
(This is the main store ↓)

The restaurant is mainly table seating with about 9 to 10 islands. The counter seats about 6.
While the main restaurant offers a wide selection of yakiton dishes, the second restaurant focuses on seafood dishes, making it a must for Gotanda drinkers who are fans of "Kanemasa.
On this day, a group of businessmen and office workers working in the neighborhood were happily enjoying their drinks and having a good time!
Hoppy Black
With the bustling crowd in the background, I started with a "Hoppy Black" at the counter by myself.
Naka, Soto, and Ice Pail are all available. The consistency can be adjusted to your liking in a semi-self-serve style. As at the main store, the counter is stocked with soto, which is kept at room temperature.

Braised beef tendon with tomato sauce
This is a popular specialty menu item at the main restaurant. Beef tenderloin stewed with tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and parsnips cohabit with the tender beef tenderloin while retaining its meaty texture.

The sweetness of the beef fat and the acidity of the tomatoes intertwine perfectly, and if you close your eyes, the Mediterranean Sea will spread behind your eyelids. Don't leave out the parsley that accompanies the dish. Bono! Maserati!
simmered octopus
From the recommended red-letter menu, order the "Octopus Tender Stew". This dish is made by slowly simmering octopus with a delicious crunchy texture until it becomes soft.

spit
This is where the skewers come in.
the .... river
A grand menu item popular at the main restaurant, grilled tuna skin. The sour sauce enhances the unique flavor of the tuna and encourages sake drinkers.

chicken or fish meatloaf made with egg
Shifting from seafood to meat-based dishes, I tried the Tsukune. The meatiness, the texture, the saltiness of the sauce...everything was to my liking. I highly recommend ordering this dish.

That was a delicious meal (said after meals)
We finished tipsy with more naka!
The popular yakiton restaurant has the luxury of having two restaurants at the same intersection, both of which also offer attractive seafood dishes. The appearance of the second "Kane Masaru" restaurant has made the nightlife in Gotanda even more exciting!
