Iidabashi "Sanshuya"
Sanshuya in Iidabashi was founded in 1976. The original Sanshuya store is in Kamata, from which the Kanda store branched off, and from there the Iidabashi and Ginza stores are branched off.
Now, there are only four Escon stores, including two in Ginza and Roppongi, as well as the recently opened Escon store in Hokkaido.
Of the remaining Sanshuya restaurants, the one in Iidabashi is my personal favorite. On my way home on the Sobu Line, I resisted the temptation of Suidobashi, but I couldn't resist the temptation of the next one, Iidabashi, and somehow I ended up being drawn to this favorite restaurant.

This area is home to many publishing companies and other businesses, and even on a Saturday the table seats were packed. Luckily, there was a seat at the counter available.
The tables and counter are made of solid cypress planks, each about 10cm thick. The wood is an ideal choice, with zelkova wood for the rear tatami room and plain pine for the walls. Just that makes for a pleasant drink. No wonder I want to get off at Iidabashi! Me!

Large bottle of beer: 700 yen
I look out over the stunning view on the strip of paper, which I'm happy to say includes tax, and receive a large bottle of beer.

You can choose between Akaboshi or Black Label, and it comes with a nice small bowl of yam strips as an appetizer.
Boiled parsley 450 yen
I don't know when parsley season is, but when it's available, I always seem to get the itch.

I only discovered how delicious parsley is after I became an adult.
Oyster tofu 680
A warming trinity of tofu, oysters, and chrysanthemum.

This chicory is another example of something I have come to love as an adult.
Grilled salted herring 550 yen
I don't order them just because they're cheap. I order horse mackerel, mackerel, herring, and squid even though they're expensive!

It has a lot of bones, so when I was a child it was a hassle, and I preferred Pacific saury and Atka mackerel, but now I absolutely love eating it while avoiding the small bones, and it makes a great companion when drinking alone.

Slowly fade out with a large flask of hot sake.
word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
When I asked the proprietress, she said, "The Iidabashi store won't be open for much longer either."
As long as the owner and his wife are still doing well, I'd like to visit as often as possible and soak up this atmosphere.
