Kasai "Genji
As you head north along Kan-nana from Kasai Station on the Tozai Line, you'll be captivated by the huge tent with the store name written on it.Genji" and it's obvious that it's been around for a long time. This is definitely a good izakaya.

The counter on the right and the tatami room on the left were completely full. Most of the customers were regulars, and the staff and customers called each other by their names and talked about their personal lives and families. This was the ideal local bar. It had a second floor and was a large bar with over 50 seats in total. What a welcoming atmosphere!
It was full, but a regular customer moved us to a tatami room with a friend to make room for us. A good restaurant attracts good customers! Thank you so much!
Black Hoppy
Hoppy served in a Hoppy mug. The outside and mug are perfectly chilled, making for a delicious Hoppy.

Perhaps I've grown up or become timid, but I finish off a whole bottle of soto with two glasses of naka.
Stewed offal

This miso stew with tofu contains a lot of gizzard shank, which is unusual for a stewed innards, as well as large intestine and tripe. Those who like a slight porky smell will love this stew. Adding two types of chili peppers adds depth to the flavor.

Grilled squid
Squid tentacles are a bar staple! I hope they will always be a friend to the common people!

Lemon sour
This lemon sour is from Kono Drinks, a local brand in Edogawa Ward. While Tokyo is home to many downtown bottled carbonated drinks manufacturers, this is a relatively rare brand that's only found in the Edogawa area. This lemon sour is perfect for heavy drinkers, with a strong acidity and less sweetness. It should be more popular!

Wakame vinegar
A simple small bowl of wakame seaweed and sweet vinegar. Refreshes your organs! Guarantees you'll feel refreshed until the next morning.

word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
Genji is loved by locals because it has a warm atmosphere like a local bar, even though it's in Tokyo. According to the young master, it was founded in 1987 and has been in business for 41 years. ...Hmm? I feel like the numbers don't add up by about three years, but I don't mind the details!
