A restaurant specializing in stewed offal set meals run directly by a meat wholesaler
Opposite Tokyo Racecourse, under the Chuo Freeway, a street famous for Yuming's lyrics, stands Tamaya Shokudo, a restaurant specializing in stewed offal set meals, run directly by a meat wholesaler and processor, in a residential area.

Previously, you could get in straight away, but now it's common to have to wait. If there are people waiting outside, you first enter the store, write your name and number of people on a form provided inside, wait outside, and then enter when your name is called.

menu
The two top choices are the classic stewed offal set meal and the curry stew set meal. The limited edition stew set meal has been added to these, making a total of three options on the menu. The limited edition for the day was tomato stew. I wanted to try it! I wavered for a moment, but somehow I always end up settling on the regular stewed offal set meal.

Stewed offal set meal
The offal is about 80% small intestine and 20% large intestine. It contains balls of konnyaku and quail eggs, and is small and round, so you can eat it with a spoon.

This stew has an indescribable rich flavor and a unique seasoning that will make you addicted. It's rare to find a stew that makes small intestines taste this delicious.

Minced meat with chili oil
The minced meat and chili oil with peanuts on the table is absolutely delicious. It's so good that you can't stop eating just this, and it's amazing. As you'd expect from a meat wholesaler! They're generous and willing to provide as much minced meat as you want!

It's free, but it's so addictive that you'll want to pay for it. I'm sure there are many customers, including myself, who come just for this.

That was a delicious meal (said after meals)
Every time I come here thinking I'll order a different dish next time, I always end up wanting the regular stew. I have no choice but to come back often and order something different.

They also serve minced meat with chili oil, and large servings of rice are free. And it's only 650 yen including tax! This restaurant specializes in stewed offal set meals, perfect for those who want to eat a lot. Although it's located next to the racecourse, it's closed on weekends and doesn't serve alcohol. Tamaya has a strong style that doesn't try to cling to its location next to the racecourse. It's wonderful!
There are also souvenirs available!
