The middle Sunday of the holidays.
I wanted to go to Naruko in Yonago, which is closed on Sundays, but I went there with a slight hope that it might be open since it was a three-day weekend, but it was closed.

After sharpening my sense of smell, I arrived at "Rumian" I would later come to realise that the accuracy of this "My Hana Navi" was unmistakable.

Rattling rattle~ (door)
Yonago "Rubian"
When I entered the store, the counter was full, so they showed me to the only vacant, shiny seat.
In front of me was a row of robatayaki ingredients that seemed to have been crammed full of the flavors of the Sea of Japan. I was overwhelmed, but I decided to order a bottle of beer.

As I was sipping a bottle of beer and looking at the menu, the chef said something.
"Just order a course meal! Everyone orders that!"
I see... if that's the case...
"Yes, I'll do that!" I immediately agreed.

Great value recommended course 2,000 yen
The first thing that came out was chicken stewed in tomato sauce and mozuku seaweed.

Apparently, the first and second combinations vary from person to person, and change depending on the mood and atmosphere of the occasion - this is the best part of Rumi-an's recommended courses!
Next, a platter of four kinds of sashimi!

I knew it was salmon, but I didn't know what the other ingredients were, but they were all delicious. There were 4-5 slices of each, and they were worth the 2,000 yen.
We were greeted with a cold sake called "Hoki Sansui" from Chiyomusubi Sake Brewery in Sakaiminato, Tottori, and prepared for the next dish.

Next came everyone's favorite, deep-fried tofu. It was an exquisite dish that made me truly think, "I'm so glad I chose sake!"

This alone would have been satisfying, but the spectacular dish that arrived was a whole boiled red sea bream. Not only was it big and cheap, but it was also incredibly fresh and well-seasoned, giving it a shocking punch that took me by surprise.

I get another bottle of the same cold sake.
Finally, a soup made from fish bones was served, bringing the shocking feast to a finale.

It's completely different from the course next door.
No matter how many times you come, you will never get the same dish. This is the true essence of the Ryumian recommended course.
word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
The last thing I learned was that Ruminan was normally closed on Sundays, but due to the requests of regular customers and the three-day weekend, it was open on this day as a special treat.

Founded 61 years ago, the restaurant has inherited the name of its predecessor, the coffee shop "Rubian," and has been run by the current owner for 42 years. "Rubian" is a famous robatayaki restaurant that has captivated not only Yonago's drinkers, but also alcohol lovers from all over the country.
What a wonderful encounter! What a lucky day it was!
