Blog

This is a series of articles in which writer Suzuki Nao and I stroll around the town, focusing on one train line, and stop by interesting shops."Nao Suzuki gets off and walks around to try the drink."Following the Osaka Loop Line, the second season will take us on a journey along the Hankyu Takarazuka Line.

The station I chose for this first installment is Shonai Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Main Line. It's located in Toyonaka City, in the northern part of Osaka Prefecture, in the so-called "Hokusetsu area," sandwiched between Mikuni Station and Hattori Tenjin Station. It's a 10-minute ride on the Hankyu Line from Osaka-Umeda Station, making it convenient for commuting to school or work in Osaka city. I've gotten off at this station several times, and have even explored the area a bit. Based on my memories from those times, I decided to head to Toyonan Market, located on the east side of the station.
