Nonjaya, which has three locations in Shinjuku 3-chome, is a classic drinking establishment that has been around since the Showa era and is likely to have been visited at least once by anyone who has been drinking in Shinjuku for many years. Founded half a century ago, you'll know it by the yellow sign that lights up at the end of a T-junction. The 50-seat restaurant is bustling with customers until 6am.
