Kirin Beer, along with other breweries and restaurants in Tohoku, have joined forces to release a limited-edition beer made with freshly harvested domestic hops. Hop production in Japan has declined to about one-ninth of its current level in 30 years. Farmers, breweries, and bars work together to bring us "First Press Freshly Picked Hops."
