The shochu event "Shochu Nani Wonderful 2024," hosted by the Osaka shochu-loving unit "NANIWANDERFUL Crew," will be held at My Dome Osaka in Chuo Ward, Osaka City on June 23rd.
The event was planned as a place where makers of authentic shochu, restaurant staff who sell them, and customers who drink them can come together and deepen their connections. This year marks the second time the event has been held, and the number of participating breweries and restaurants has increased. New additions include Miyazaki's Osuzuyama Distillery, Okinawa's Miyazato Brewery, Ura-Namba's izakaya Namba Shotto?, and sardine specialty bar Iwashi-ya Katakuchi. There will also be live music performances.
The organizers commented that they wanted to provide an experience that would allow people to picture the face of the shochu maker every time they look at the label, and to create a day where the makers would also picture the faces of the drinkers and sellers. Advance tickets start at 3,900 yen (includes a 500 yen food and drink voucher, but food and drink at the venue are charged separately) and are on sale at participating stores. The venue will open at 12 noon!
