Sapporo's long-established local Chinese restaurant "Chinese Restaurant Hotei [Main Branch]" will cease operations at its current store today, December 31, 2025, due to demolition due to the aging of the building.
Since opening in April 1998, the restaurant has been loved by many regular customers for over 27 years. The main store will be closed for approximately two to three months from January 1, 2026, and will then be relocated and reopened. During the closure, many of the main store's menu items, including Zangi, will be available at a new store opening on the first floor of APA Hotel Sapporo Odori Ekimae Nishi (opening December 18, 2025) (some items may not be available).
