Hidetoshi Nakata travels to Korea with top Japanese sake to explore the secrets behind the expansion of distribution overseas!
Hidetoshi Nakata is working to connect sake to the world. This program follows the SAKE COMPETITION, one of Nakata's key activities, as well as his efforts to promote sake around the world and a sake brewery that has expanded into the US. This year's SAKE COMPETITION 2024 awards ceremony featured presenters including Hidetoshi Nakata and Yasuko Kuramoto, who appears on the TV show "Onna Sakaba Hourouki." Nakata presented the "Special Award: Sakenomy Best Brand of the Year," while Kuramoto presented the "Junmai" category. Also, as a new initiative for the SAKE COMPETITION starting this year, tastings of the award-winning sake will be held in three countries around the world. Nakata traveled to one of these countries, South Korea, to visit a tasting venue in Seoul and a company that imports and sells sake, exploring what is needed to promote sake globally. In addition, the camera went undercover to DASSAI BLUE Sake Brewery, the brewery that produces DASSAI BLUE TYPE23, which won first place in the Overseas Sake Category.
