On the day, you can enjoy paid tastings of Gekkeikan's diverse lineup of sake, including sake exclusive to the memorial museum and official online store. Gekkeikan employees will also perform sake-brewing songs and demonstrate how to wrap sake barrels in komogo (rice straw), as well as a talk show by research staff. There will also be free barrel sake and amazake (sweet rice drink), a tour of the brewery, and other events unique to the brewery. Special lucky bags (limited quantities) will also be available, and snacks that go well with sake will be available at food stalls.

Please check the tour time at the reception on the day (applications are on a first-come, first-served basis on the day, and tours will not be available outside of the guided tour times). [Free barreled sake and sweet sake] After the sake barrel opening ceremony at 10:00, barrel sake will be served. Also, from 10:30, handmade amazake (sweet sake) made with Gekkeikan sake lees will be served (free of charge). [Lucky Bag Sales] We will be selling popular sake sets at a special price only available during the Sake Brewery Festival. Each bag costs 1,000 yen (tax included), and there are only 100 sets available.
Paid tasting: We have a diverse lineup of Gekkeikan sake available, including "Argo," a popular 5% alcoholic beverage released last fall; "Hourin," a high-quality, sophisticated, premium sake; "Gekkeikan Studio no.3.1," a pineapple-like fragrance born from an experimental project to evolve sake (available only at the Memorial Hall and on the official online store); new products scheduled for release in mid-March (limited to the Memorial Hall); and sakes available only on the day.
Food sales: Famous restaurants, including those from the local area of Fushimi, Kyoto, will be selling snacks that go well with sake at their food stalls. 【Opening a store】Five restaurants: Kisshoan (mackerel sushi and more), Kyoto's Kitchen Tsuki no Kurado (kasu soup), Kiraboshi (fried chicken), Okiyoshi (rolled omelet and more), and Marumasa Takagi Shoten (various snacks).
Dedicated tickets: On the day of the event, two types of tickets will be sold at the memorial hall reception, which can be used for paid tastings at the Gekkeikan Sake Brewery Festival: a 1,000 yen ticket (10 x 100 yen tickets) and a 500 yen ticket (5 x 100 yen tickets) (sales close at 3:30 PM). *The dedicated ticket is only valid on the day of the event and can only be used for paid tastings at the Gekkeikan Sake Brewery Festival (it cannot be used for food sales or other sake brewery events). *When purchasing a special ticket, payment can be made by cash, credit card, or barcode.
