[Snacks to go with your drinks] Cat Day limited edition "Shiraka Nekodasuke" released with a portion of sales going to animal welfare

Hakushika will release a limited edition product, Kuromatsu Hakushika Nekodasuke Special Junmai Yamada Nishiki, on February 7, 2025. This special junmai sake commemorates Cat Day on February 22, and features a limited edition original label drawn by popular illustrator Oki Eiko, expressing her desire for zero euthanasia of stray cats.

The 2025 label model was designed based on four cats chosen by employee vote and designer selection. The sake is a special pure rice sake with a refreshing taste made with 100% Yamadanishiki rice from Hyogo Prefecture, and a portion of sales (222 yen per bottle) will be donated to an animal welfare fund in Nishinomiya City, Hyogo Prefecture, with the aim of contributing to the local community.

Additionally, if purchasers take a photo of their cat with the product and post it on social media, they will be entered to be a label model for the 2026 edition. The product will be sold at the directly managed store "Hakushika Classics" and the official online shop.
