Suntory Whisky's "Hibiki" brand is the company's highest-end premium blended whisky, released in 1989 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the company's founding. It was born from the vision of founder and first Master Blender Shinjiro Torii, who continued to pursue the creation of whisky that would suit the delicate palates of the Japanese people.

This time, a limited number of Hibiki 40 Year Old whiskies will be sold by lottery, made exclusively from ultra-long-aged malt and grain whiskies over 40 years old that were distilled and stored before 1983. The whiskies used are extremely rare, having been aged in casks over many seasons. From these rare, ultra-long-aged whiskies that have undergone thorough quality control by generations of brewers, our blenders have carefully selected and blended those that have reached the peak of their maturation.
