Chuo Line Beer Works
The taproom of JR East Group's first directly operated craft beer brewery, Chuo Line Beer Works, will open at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, under the elevated tracks between Higashi-Koganei and Musashi-Koganei on the JR Chuo Line in Koganei City, Tokyo.

The main brewery is run by a former station employee, and serves a total of seven craft beers, including "Poppoya Ale" (including six guest beers), as well as several types of snacks. There are seven standing and nine seated seats, and the brewery is open Thursday through Sunday. After the grand opening in late August, they will also start selling their own brewed beer.
With a bright and quiet space, large windows, a warm wooden interior, and a design based on the Chuo Line tracks, it is a charming place for interaction with the local community!
