The deadline for 2024 Mr SAKE is fast approaching.
The Miss SAKE Ambassador Program was launched in September 2013 by the Miss SAKE Association with the aim of selecting an ambassador with the aesthetic sense and intelligence to spread the appeal of sake, a traditional Japanese food culture, and the appeal of Japanese culture both domestically and internationally.
The first Miss SAKE was crowned at a selection meeting held in October 2013, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the National Tax Agency, government agencies, the Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association, etc. For the 11 years since then, she has been promoting Japanese food and culture through sake, and working to attract tourists to Japan, not only in Japan but also in countries around the world, including New York, Paris, London, Milan, Sydney, Hong Kong, Delhi, Manila, and Phnom Penh. She has over 400 opportunities to appear each year, both domestically and internationally.
About Mr SAKE
Launched in 2017, Mr. SAKE accepts applications from men who love Japanese culture, especially sake, more than anyone else and have a strong desire to spread it. Those who have been selected as Mr. SAKE come from a variety of backgrounds, including business owners, restaurant managers, sake instructors, and representatives of student sake groups. In addition to their work as ambassadors, we are looking for people who are ambitious for their own careers and who want to contribute to the revitalization of not only the sake industry but also the Japanese economy.
