A new service, "Whiskey Blending Experience," has been launched at "OKINAWA BLUE Shinbashi Store," operated by Kumesen Brewery.
The "Whiskey Blending Experience" is an experiential service that allows customers to blend their own whiskeys in the ratio of their choice to create a one-of-a-kind original whiskey. Kumesen Brewery produces a rare whiskey made from rice, aged in the subtropical climate of Okinawa. We offer four types of this high-quality unblended whiskey. The combinations of the types and amounts of whiskey blended are endless. You can enjoy a special whiskey that you won't find anywhere else.
The four types of whiskey used in the blending experience are as follows:
① Single rice whiskey made from domestically grown rice (Kanagawa Prefecture) and aged in American white oak. ② Single rice whiskey made from domestically grown rice (Oita Prefecture) and aged in Spanish oak. 3. Rice whiskey made from Indica rice and aged in American white oak ④Malt whiskey made with British malt and aged in American white oak
This service requires a reservation and is limited to small groups. Staff will provide detailed explanations, so even those new to whiskey can participate with confidence. Booklets and instructions are available in Japanese, English, and Chinese, so customers from overseas can also use them. If staff have difficulty speaking a foreign language, they will use a translation app to guide you.
The process of the whiskey blending experience
①Explanation of whiskey
The staff will explain the whiskey that will be used this time.
② Blend trial
Blend small amounts and create several samples while tasting.
③ Deciding on the blend
Once you have decided on your preferred blend, please let our staff know.
④ Bottling
Fill your own bottle with whiskey.
⑤Labeling
Label it and put it in a box.
⑥Complete!
You can take home the finished whiskey right away.
