The feature film "The Solitary Gourmet," directed and written by Matsushige Yutaka, will be released on January 10, 2025. The theme song, "Hunger and Me," is performed by Hiroto Komoto (The Cro-Magnons), a friend of Matsushige's for 40 years. The two first met at Mintei in Shimokitazawa. It all began when they started working part-time there on the exact same day. At Mintei, where both agree that "it hasn't changed at all in 40 years," they spoke at length about their journey, from their memories of working part-time in Shimokitazawa to their current collaboration.
