Sapporo Breweries Ltd., in collaboration with Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), will release a limited edition regional beer, "Sapporo Classic JR Hokkaido Star Train Design Can," in limited quantities in the Hokkaido area from Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The packaging features an original design by designer Eiji Mitooka, who oversaw the interior and exterior of the tourist trains "Red Star" and "Blue Star," which are scheduled to begin operation in 2027. The taste itself is the same as the regular "Sapporo Classic."
To celebrate the release, a campaign will be held in which participants can win a "Station Sign" or a pair of tourist train tickets for the "Red Star/Blue Star" line, plus a gourmet set. 25 people will be entered into a lottery to win the prize by submitting a receipt for purchases of eligible products worth 1,000 yen or more. The application period is from November 10, 2025 to February 2, 2026.
