Takara Shuzo Co., Ltd. will release a limited quantity of "Takara Shochu Highball <Iwashita's New GingerⓇ>" nationwide on Tuesday, June 4th.
Takara Shochu Highball is a dry chuhai that pursues the taste of the original shochu highball, which was born in the popular bars of Tokyo's downtown area in the late 1940s and is said to be the origin of the word chuhai (chuhai). In addition to the satisfying drinking experience and crisp, refreshing, dry taste that are unique to Takara Shochu, it has also been well received by customers for its functionality, such as zero purines*1 and zero sweeteners*2.
The new flavor, Iwashita's New Ginger®, was created through a collaboration between our company and Iwashita Foods Co., Ltd. Iwashita's New Ginger® is popular as a snack at pubs, and we released it in limited quantities last year as it not only pairs well with shochu highballs, but also fits in well with the brand's worldview. It has been very well received by customers, and in response to the voices of our fans, we will be selling it again this year. You can enjoy the refreshing taste and aroma that is characteristic of "Iwashita's New Ginger®." The package design is based on the pink color that is the image color of "Iwashita's New Ginger®."
