Takara "Shochu Highball" is a dry chuhai that pursues the taste of the original "shochu highball," which was born in the popular bars of Tokyo's downtown area in the late 1940s and is said to be the origin of the word chuhai (chuhai). In addition to the satisfying drinking experience and crisp, refreshing, dry taste that is unique to Takara Shochu, it is also a firm favorite among drinkers for its functionality, such as being purine-free and sweetener-free.
The new release, 5% (Special Cola Mix), uses special spice extract as an ingredient to achieve the refreshing aroma unique to cola. Mixing shochu with bottled cola is a popular drink in pubs. Takara Shochu Highball fans also expressed a desire to try a cola flavor, leading to the launch of this new product.
