On March 31st of this year, the shop located in an alley behind the south exit of Tanashi Station temporarily closed due to redevelopment of the area in front of the station.
Yakitori Country in the Back Alley
The following month, on Saturday, April 22nd, Ikkuni-san moved and renovated to the second floor of a nearby drugstore.
The space next door on the second floor was vacant, but another yakiton restaurant chain, Kaburaya Tanashi Branch, opened this week.
This Kaburaya is the first to be located on the second floor, and as a directly managed store, they seem to be putting a lot of effort into it. It will be interesting to see what kind of chemistry will emerge between these two stores, which have different customer bases.
