Noge is one of Japan's leading drinking districts, with over 600 restaurants and bars located around Sakuragicho and Hinodecho stations. Many of the establishments are stand-up bars and small establishments, making it easy for natural interactions to occur. In recent years, with the increase in tourists and the popularity of "bar hopping," a diverse range of people visit the area.
The "# Tonight's Wristband" was created to make these interactions more fun and safe. It can be worn in three colors: red (want to drink alone), yellow (want to talk to staff or regulars), and blue/green (want to interact with anyone). Its slim, unobtrusive design helps avoid trouble with those around you.
As society becomes increasingly lonely, drinking districts play an important role as places for social interaction. The "# Tonight's Wristband" aims to help with this, and will initially be distributed free of charge. Six bands will be sold for 500 yen (excluding tax), with wholesale also planned.
