[Snacks to go with your drinks] An unmanned sake station opens on the JR San'in Line. A local beer brewery in Shimane Prefecture renovates the station building and develops a factory.
Iwami Beer, a local craft beer manufacturer, has opened a new factory in the unmanned JR San'in Line Nami Station building in Gotsu City, Shimane Prefecture, and is scheduled to begin operations in September. The factory will be located in a renovated part of the station building and will produce beer and fruit wine. There are also plans to open a sheep farm, an organic vegetable farm, and a restaurant nearby, which are expected to revitalize the local area.
