島根県江津市にある無人駅のJR山陰線波子駅舎に、地ビール製造の石見麦酒が新工場を開設し、9月から稼働開始予定。工場は駅舎の改装された部分で、ビールや果実酒の製造を行う。また、近くにはヒツジ牧場や有機野菜の農園、飲食店のオープンも予定されており、地域の活性化が期待されている。
