Hachocho in Mitaka used to be a red light district

The official name is "Musashi Haccho Special Drinking Street"
It is commonly known as "Haccho"
Young people who worked in Kichijoji and the surrounding area started opening shops one after another.
A rare drinking district that spontaneously evolved into an alley
A unique atmosphere with a mix of young and veteran shops

When you enter the shop, there is a tatami room in the back.
It's interesting to see the remnants of its history as a red light district still remaining.

It's not close to the station and the building is old.
But it's a reasonable size and the rent is cheap.
I guess the conditions are right for young people to open stores.

Izakaya, standing bar, oden restaurant, yakiniku restaurant, hamburger restaurant
Obanzai, rice ball shops, ramen shops, etc.
There are a variety of genres, and every place is bustling with young customers.

More recently
Those who trained at the landmark "Iseya" in Kichijoji
Opened a yakitori restaurant
The piece called "yakitori" came together and it became a street where you can find anything you want.

Renovation of the entire alley
They're tearing down the city's symbols in the name of redevelopment and building new buildings.
Every town is becoming the same
It's a good way to preserve this town

I'd like some ward chief to take note.
