Umenoyado Sake Brewery in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, has begun offering original shaved ice made with sake brewing water and sake lees exclusively at its directly managed stores from August 1 to October 31, 2025.
The ice is made using sake brewing water, with sake lees cream hidden inside and topped with a generous amount of peach sauce made from non-alcoholic Umenoyado Aragoshi Peach, making the "Peach and Sake Lees Kura Ice <Non-Alcoholic>" (800 yen including tax).It can be enjoyed safely by people with small children or those driving.
Furthermore, the adult-oriented "Peach and Sake Lees Kura Shaved Ice with Numa Strawberry" (1,000 yen including tax) is a luxurious dish that comes with the popular liqueur "Adult Fruit Numa Strawberry" on the side, which you can add your own liqueur to enjoy. This shaved ice is perfect for adults, with the refreshing acidity of peach and the mellowness of sake lees cream in perfect harmony.
