Tomakomai's long-established yakitori restaurant "Torisenjiro"
Tomakomai has many yakitori restaurants.Shrimp tempuraWe came here after hearing from the owner of the restaurant, "Senjiro is the oldest yakitori restaurant in the area." This is our second stop on the list. Established 48 years ago, this long-established yakitori restaurant in Tomakomai is still run by the second generation owner. It's run by the owner and his mother.

Let's enter the store
Green lanterns, a red neon sign, and a long, deep green noren curtain... You enter through an entrance with a stunning color scheme.
This Nakabako bar has an L-shaped counter seating area surrounded by four or five tables. Like most bars, I'm drinking alone tonight, but since the yakitori order is limited to three skewers, it might be better to come with a group.

By the way, on this day there were two local couples at the counter.
"If you want to eat yakitori in Tomakomai, this is the place to go. You were right!"
These are the most wonderful words I've ever heard! Also, I'm embarrassed to call you "older brother"! I'm definitely an older man!

Highball
I've been drinking a lot of bottled beer since morning, so I'll start with a highball!

Yakitori
The beautifully skewered "meat" consists of pork belly and green onions. Perhaps a continuation from Muroran, it comes with mustard. I was worried about the three skewers, but they are small and very easy to eat.

Chicken wings with just the right amount of black pepper

Japanese rice wine
There were two choices for sake: Kenbishi Kanigori from Nada, and I chose the nigori sake, which was a sweeter nigori sake from Chitosetsuru from Sapporo.

Chicken meat and cold sake
Finally, finish with chicken and cold Kenbishi sake. The onions sprinkled throughout the dish really bring out the Muroran yakitori flavor.

word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
It's been almost 50 years since the previous generation of the family! I don't know Senjiro from his time as the previous owner, but this is an important bar in Tomakomai that has been in business for half a century. The second-generation young master! Please continue to protect the valuable reputation as a long-established yakitori restaurant that represents Tomakomai! I'll come again someday!
