A charming bar that you'll definitely visit several times a year.Mitakaya Bar" In addition to the standard menu items that I always order, such as the rich beef stew, there is also a recommended menu on the blackboard that changes daily. I always end up ordering my favorite standard menu item, and before I know it, I'm full and don't even get to the blackboard menu. Today, I wanted to try a dish that I don't usually order, so I went in right away.

Kikugawa's famous bar
The uniquely colored decorative counter, which is instantly recognizable as "Mitakaya" on social media, may feel a little high when you sit down, but as you start drinking, it becomes just the right amount of magical. Run by a father and son team, this small izakaya is a model of a downtown bar, with the proprietress, head chef, and young head chef all playing their own roles.

Chuhai
Let's start with the Chuhai Set (450 yen). Azuma Carbonated Drink x Kinmiya with sliced lemon. This is the classic Tokyo Chuhai combination that's delicious no matter who makes it!

Spaghetti salad
I always order the Spa Salad (400 yen). It's a good portion and a consistent first choice. Enjoy adding sauce to change the flavor.

Tuna sashimi
The most popular menu item is tuna sashimi (700 yen). The lean and medium-fatty tuna are cut live after the order is placed. This is definitely a restaurant that is confident in their tuna.

Green juice highball
After finishing the chuhai, I had a sweet, swamp-like green juice highball (450 yen). This national health drink, green juice, made up for all the lazy eating habits I'd had up until now.

Smile
This is the sweet and energizing stew of beef small intestine you've been waiting for! The rich flavor will give you energy and make you crave it regularly. When you're tired or feeling down, just think about it and enjoy this "edible drip" of Mitakaya stew!

It's a small detail, but when using beef, you would normally want to emphasize the beef in the dish by calling it "beef stew" or "beef offal stew," but the menu calls it "nikomi" in hiragana. That's clever. And cool.
Squid and radish
Looking at the menu we've ordered so far, it's filled with the usual favorites. It all ends up like this. Finally, we have the squid and radish from the daily special, a big pot dish that's bubbling deliciously in front of us. The dishes behind the standard dishes are also of outstanding quality. The depth of the staff, like the pitchers of the Orix Buffaloes, is the secret to Mitakaya's strength.

word used after one has been treated (esp. used after a meal)
I'm full. It was quite difficult to break the stronghold of Mitakaya's classic menu, so in the end (or was I hoping?) I settled on the usual routine. I actually wanted to try the fried horse mackerel, but being able to change it to squid and radish was a good result. Thank you for the meal!
