I decided to go for a drink with "drinking writer" Yamauchi Seiko and author of "The Narrow Road of Sake," Razwell Hosoki, in Kamiigusa, a town I've been hooked on in recent years along the Seibu Ikebukuro and Shinjuku lines, but one I've yet to explore thoroughly. The area in front of the station is easy to get a feel for after wandering around for about five minutes, and Raz was drawn into a bar called "Yashinbo" with a long-established atmosphere, followed by Yamauchi.
