Oh, it's here! I splurged a little and bought the "Nihonzakari 8-Year Oak Barrel Aged Sake." I'm looking forward to this color, which doesn't look like sake. Don't be so bold, Nihonzakari! The unpasteurized bottled sake and the Japan Soda are both wonderful.

In October 2018, Fujiya Honten, located in the basement of Shibuya, closed. Its impressive underground standing bar was fantastic. I was so happy when it reopened in Sakurazaka last year, but five years have passed since then, and a large building has been built in the old location...

Yamadaya closed on November 30, 2021, citing a "one-and-a-half-year closure due to the aging of the building." It's been more than a year and a half now. I loved those high ceilings. I miss the "soft-boiled egg" served with soba noodles.

Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street: Oshima, Nishi-Oshima, Minami-Sunamachi. The nearest shops are all a little far away, but they're all really great shopping streets. There are plenty of fishmongers, butchers, and delicatessens, and everything looks delicious. I want to try them all.

Miyoshi, the third branch of the precious Hoppy House. I wonder if it's closed or on a temporary hiatus. I remember it as the first place I ever had draft Hoppy, but it seems like it suddenly closed in 2022. I looked it up and found out it's due for reconstruction until July 2022...
