Harimaya Bridge, located in the center of Kochi City, has long been considered a disappointing tourist spot. To restore the bridge's reputation, a slightly creepy, but charming character called "Harimatoyabashi" was created. Harimatoyabashi is involved in various activities to enliven not only the local Harimaya Bridge, but the entire Kochi region.
