Matsuyama City's "Tsuyuguchi" bar was beloved by many fans nationwide as the "holy land of highballs." It closed last September, and then in September of this year, its owner, Takao Tsuyuguchi, passed away at the age of 86. In the midst of this, a bar with a single-piece counter and other amenities was opened in an effort to preserve the Western liquor culture that had developed in the area for the next generation.
