Umenoyado Sake Brewery in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, will begin offering original shaved ice made with sake brewing water and sake lees exclusively at its directly managed stores from August 1 to October 31, 2025. The ice is made with sake brewing water, with sake lees cream hidden inside and a non-alcoholic plum shaved ice on top.

Okuyamato Beer (672-1 Ouda Tokujo, Uda City, Nara Prefecture), a craft beer manufacturer and retailer in Uda City, Nara Prefecture, is launching a crowdfunding campaign on July 1, 2025, to open a "distillery with overnight stays" in this region, where medicinal herb culture is deeply rooted.
