Niigata's Kikusui Sake Brewery will hold the grand opening of its new facility, "KIKUSUI Kura GARDEN," themed around fermentation, on April 29th. The facility is made up of three areas: the lab, shop, and cafe, and is a space where you can experience the charm of sake with all five senses.
At the "Lab," hands-on events and workshops related to fermentation are held, and you can even see koji mold for yourself. At the "Shop," you can purchase unpasteurized sake exclusive to the brewery and products made in collaboration with local confectionery shops. At the "Café," you can enjoy coffee made in collaboration with a local roaster and sweets made with sake lees while looking out at the garden. The company's headquarters also houses the "Kikusui Sake Culture Research Institute," where you can also experience sake-related culture.
