Kirin HoldingsKirin Brewery, a subsidiary of Kirin Holdings, has announced that it is considering a new service that would allow customers to purchase whiskey malt and have it aged for 20 years. The company plans to commercialize the service through crowdfunding, which involves publicizing the project and raising funds from an unspecified number of interested people.

The new service is called "Whiskey to Live With" and will begin crowdfunding on June 6th, with the goal of funding being raised before it is officially launched.
Specifically, customers will be asked to purchase undiluted spirits produced between 2019 and 2025 at Kirin Distillery Fuji Gotemba Distillery (Gotemba City, Shizuoka Prefecture), the Kirin Group's whiskey distillery. Purchasers will be able to receive samples of the whiskey as it ages at regular intervals over the 20-year period. The plan is for customers to experience the whiskey's maturation process at milestones in their lives, such as their children's growth or anniversaries, and ultimately enjoy a special 20-year-old spirit that is as old as them.
Through this new service, we will convey the appeal of whiskey to customers and pass on the techniques and traditions of whiskey-making to the next generation.
