The Whisky Culture Research Institute will be releasing an original whiskey called "Ichiro's Malt & Grain Single Cask #14903" will be released. This is the first in the "Shangri-La Series," carefully selected by the company's president, and is a single cask of malt and grain whiskey aged in Mizunara hogsheads at Chichibu Distillery. It has an alcohol content of 58% and a volume of 700ml, and is limited to 316 bottles. The price is 25,300 yen (tax included, shipping not included). A Whisky Culture Institute membership number is required to purchase.
The membership fee is 7,920 yen per year, and offers benefits such as newsletter delivery, member-only live streaming, bottles, and advance purchase of events. Applications are made online, and this membership allows you to enjoy Japan's only whisky magazine while also participating in limited edition bottles.
