Kawamuraya, a long-established soba restaurant founded in 1900 (Meiji 33), closed at the end of March this year, but the seventh generation owner will take over and reopen in September. On April 25th of this year, Tenroku's famous restaurants "Juhachiban" and "Tenroku Udon" closed their doors after 50 years of history. One of their employees went independent and opened "Laofuen" in Kamishinjo on July 20th. Congratulations to all the locals who were once Juhachiban refugees! Founded in 1971, the Tobitaku branch of Koganei City's iconic local Chinese restaurant, "Hoka," will open on Wednesday, July 26th.
