The second year of Tsuchiura Koi Marriage, a shochu made from lotus root, is now on sale.
Tsuchiura City in Ibaraki Prefecture has started selling Tsuchiura Renkon Shochu (lotus root shochu) for the second year, following last year, to promote the city's specialty, lotus root shochu. Meiri Shuzui of Mito City was in charge of brewing, and 1.2 tons of Tsuchiura-grown lotus root were used. The 3,000 bottles produced were 1.5 times as many as last year....
